At Hunter Chase Development Partners, John Terrell is primarily focused on the commercial development Carillon Parc in Southlake, Texas as well as identifying new development opportunities. In this capacity, Terrell acts as the liaison with city government, manages development visioning and is involved with raising equity capital. In addition to HCDP, John is a Principal with Paslay Management Group, a professional management firm that specializes in advising and representing airports throughout the life cycle of large complex capital development programs. Terrell is also a partner at the real estate firm of Tong, Parsons and Terrell Realty. He was formerly the Vice President of Commercial Development at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) for 15 years, where he was responsible for the strategic direction of development on nearly 18,000 acres of land, generating over $1.4 billion in revenues and developing over 3,000 acres including over 45M sf of industrial, office, retail and hotel properties. Prior to DFW Airport, John led the real estate and commercial development efforts for the western half of the U.S. for Southern Pacific and Union Pacific Railroads, where he generated over $2billion in revenues. Terrell served as an elected or appointed official for 19 years and was the former Mayor of Southlake, Texas. He holds a Bachelor of Science in business management and a master’s degree in business administration with a certificate in Asian Business Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington. He holds an International Airport Professional (IAP) designation, being recognized for expertise in the field of airport management. Terrell has been a real estate instructor for several universities and was previously named National Real Estate Executive of the Year by Site Selection Magazine.
